Cardio MAX!

I decided that this week its time to start incorporating workouts with my healthy eating, to hopefully boost my weight loss. So last night, after spending hours trying on wedding gowns, I get home around 9, and decide that I can’t go to sleep until I exercise. I MADE myself do it. So I popped in my Biggest Loser: Cardio Max dvd, thinking that it couldn’t be that hard, and I would just do it real quick and head off to bed…….boy, I wish someone had been there to tell me just how hard that workout would be. I just about died, I’m not kidding. That dang dvd made me feel like I had never worked out in my life! It was almost, if not just as, hard as the 30 Day Shred. I wanted to cry. I think I actually did a little bit. But when it was over, and after I was done grunting and panting, I actually felt really great. And I feel really great today, I’m pretty sure it’s all thanks to my workout last night. So I have committed myself to doing it 4 times a week. And maybe alternating sometimes with the 30 Day Shred. Wish me luck, because exercise has proven to be the most difficult for me. I can diet and eat right (although I may bitch about the entire time!) but when it comes to moving my big ol behind, it’s just not that simple for me. Oh, and I recommend if you want a good workout, go buy this DVD. It’s a killer.

So, as I mentioned, I did go last night and tried on wedding gowns. I had no idea how much fun I would have. I was dreading it, and telling myself it was way too early to be going and trying them on, but I had such a good time, and found some gowns that I just absolutely fell in love with. I wish I could post the pictures we took, but Bryan reads my blog, so I can’t do that! I am now more excited than I thought I could be, and wishing my wedding was sooner than January 2010!!! And….I told the girl that I was a size 18, just hoping that I would be able to fit that size, (because I’m actually closer to a 20, or so I thought….) and the size 18’s fit!!!! I can’t tell you how happy I was. My question is, if I plan on losing AT LEAST 40 pounds for the wedding, should I wait until I lose those 40 pounds before getting my dress? Any advice would be really helpful! 🙂

I would wait. Don’t wait past June or July (unless they think they won’t still have what you want then), but it’ll cost a lot if they keep having to alter it. Don’t buy a smaller size, hoping to fit into it because you don’t want to have a dress that’s too small if something happens and you don’t lose the weight. Either way, you’ll be a beautiful bride!!

I hope so! I just don’t want to look like this, that’s all I know. I don’t want to look back on the pictures, and be a whale! I’m sure I am being hard on myself, but I think it’s necessary, in order for me to see results and to work hard. But yeah, I think I’ll go back in July and get the dress, and whatever size I am then, it should work. The girl at David’s Bridal said that they can alter the dress up to two sizes if necessary, plus if the dress I choose has a corset back, it can be adjusted to be tighter on me!

wait! If you find something, find out the last possible instance you can order.

My friend ordered a bridesmaid dress almost a year out and lost weight on WW. She had to buy another $200 dress because they couldn’t fix her original one. People say you can always alter down, but there is only so much they can do. 40 lbs is many sizes. I used to wear a size 14 BM dress, the one I have for next week’s wedding is a 6 and I had to have that altered down further.

I have a never worn dress you can buy 😉 Major designer and everything!

It’s a wedding gown?? What size is it?

yup. it’s a size 10. Badgley Mischka. It’s an a-line sheath. Ivory. pearls and crystals on top. It has straps. May not be your style, alot of people like strapless, I don’t.
I was looking for a picture but I couldn’t find out.

I would have to see it, and then of course I would have to get down to a size 10! haha. I think I could, but I’ll have to see. It sounds really pretty. 🙂

I think its good to try some on so you get a general idea for what you want. I’m in the same boat and am going to lose weight before the wedding. So, I’ve decided to try some on, find out what I like and don’t like. Then, when I’ve gotten to my desired weight and maintain, I’ll get my dress. Good luck with it!!!!!!
